cheriton square.
Modest interventions at this middle of terrace Victorian property in South London included replacement of an existing in-fill side extension pitched roof, altered external openings and full internal refurbishment.
The new roof structure added additional volume to the space in which ceiling heights were previously limited, and with three large format automated roof windows. Altered openings to the rear of the property rationalised circulation and access to the garden, identifying the dining area as a space to pause and reflect with provision of a new oriel window seat. The internal refurbishment saw full rewire, new plumbing and installation of a beautiful new kitchen, but also the additional of thermally insulated plasterboard lining to external walls which will dramatically reduce space heating requirements during the winter months.
