The design for this extension was conceived as a folded roof structure, with geometries and triangular openings formed to relate to, and accentuate, internal spaces.

Internal finishes were selected and configured to accentuate the ‘angles’ in the space, whilst integrating traditional and rustic materials such as slate and exposed internal brick work in the context of a new contemporary setting.

James oversaw design development on this project from ‘concept’ through to ‘technical’ design before the drawings were brought to life expertly by a private builder.
